About Helen

In the early years of my career, I was a leader in Retail Business Operations and Human Resource Development in companies such as the Body Shop International and WH Smith Ltd.

Coaching Expertise
For the last 15 years I have offered executive coaching to leaders in both the public and private sector in the UK. To develop my coaching expertise, I gained an ILM Level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring Practice in 2014. This was followed by an EMCC Global Coaching Accreditation at Senior Practitioner level in 2018.

My Journey to Supervision-
In recent years, I have developed a passion for supporting individual coaches and the broader coach community to master the Art of Coaching and model excellence in our profession.
Coach Supervision Services were therefore a natural next step for me. I qualified as a Coach Supervisor in September 2023, ( International Centre for Coaching Supervision) . I am currently building my supervision practice and will seek to gain EMCC Supervision Accreditation over the next 12 months.

Alongside this, I also volunteer with the EMCC to mentoring coaches who seek to gain professional coaching accreditation.

Supervision Themes -
As I partner with coaches in supervision, I notice there are recurring patterns of topics that arise – contracting and boundaries, ethics and inclusion, emerging identities and systemic complexity, acceptance of what can’t be changed and commitment to what can – I reflect that I am learning so much from these relationships that enriches my coaching practice and stretches my growing supervision skills.
I’m also strongly committed to raising systemic awareness in supervisees. I am also particularly interested in learning more about ‘what lies beneath’ - exploring psychodynamic influences in both 1:1 and group coaching and supervision.
Most importantly, I seek to recreate for coaches the 'safe' and 'brave' reflective space that great supervision represents for me.

Testimonials

"I highly recommend Helen as a coaching supervisor. She created a structured, welcoming, creative space for our coaching supervision sessions that felt increasingly comfortable and familiar as our work matured. Each session was like returning to a familiar place full of learning insights, curiosity, surprise and sometimes gentle challenges. Helen's depth of knowledge, guidance, and access to a massive toolkit has been instrumental in my growth as a coach. I am immensely grateful for Helen's partnership on my coaching journey."
Rachael Des Lauriers, CEC ACC EMCC EIA Senior Practitioner, June 2023

"I highly recommend Helen as a coach supervisor. Working with her has been very helpful not only when reflecting on some complex assignments, but also in making important professional development decisions. Her sessions couldn’t feel more positive and safe. "
Andrea Juhasz-Wrench, Coaching & Outplacement Partner, AC Mentoring.
"I feel I have all the space and support I need to think and process while receiving focused attention and insightful questioning. The space is skillfully held so that I can delve into the reflective process knowing I have a willing partner to go there with me while also keeping track of the session’s progress and goals. This leaves me free to just be a supervisee and do the work I need to within the session. "
CS, Executive Coach,- July 2023.
