Qualified Coaching Supervisor

About Sandra

I am self-employed and have had a private practice since 2016. I also work as an associate for other companies as coach supervisor, executive coach and trainer.
I have been practising as a coach and coach supervisor since 2008. From 2008-2015 I developed and led on an internal coaching programme for a large national charity, delivering coaching, coach training and supervision.
I supervise individual and team coaching and work, 1:1 and with groups.
I incorporate my psychological skill and knowledge into my supervision practice along with an extensive range of models and approaches drawn from leadership and management, organisational development, supervision, executive coaching and systems/complexity theory.
Most importantly, I create a safe trusting space where coaches can grow and develop, reflect and learn to best meet the needs of their coachees , teams and organisations.
More recently, I have begun delivering coaching supervision training to coaches from internal coaching programmes including NHS. I also tutor on ILM7 in Coaching Supervision. I undertake this work in collaboration with Cath Brown of CBC.

Testimonials

MANDI
I consider myself to be a fairly experienced coach and have engaged in supervision regularly throughout my practice. I recently extended myself into the area of systemic team coaching and sought out a supervisor who could support me in my development journey as I engaged with the role of
Systemic Team Coach. Sandra's approach has worked very well for me.

Whilst Sandra's practice is clearly grounded in a range of theoretical and professional models she deploys her very deep knowledge and experience in a non-formulaic way so I leave each session feeling truly heard, effectively challenged and supported to deal with the next steps in my coaching work and personal development. I particularly value Sandra's ability to ask questions that stop me in my track and take me to a new level of insight and awareness . Her natural adoption of shadow consultant position in our supervision sessions has been invaluable to me as I undertake coaching work that is a personal stretch. She helps me appreciate and own my development journey whilst building my confidence that I am up for it ! Thank you Sandra

DAWN
I have been working with Sandra over the past 12 months as my coaching supervisor.
I have worked with other supervisors but didn’t feel I was getting what I needed from the sessions so spent a fair bit of time looking for someone who would give me a different perspective, who would constructively challenge me where needed, where I could continue to learn something about myself and my motivations as part of my self knowing, someone whom I could learn from and most importantly, someone who offered a safe space where I could trust the confidential promise between us. I found all of those things in Sandra.
In the short period of time I have worked with her, I have found each and every session valuable (which from previous experience, I wasn’t expecting) and have learnt something about myself or had deeper insight into the context or people I am working with, which has impacted positively on my coaching approach.
I have already recommended Sandra to a number of my colleagues and would have no hesitation in recommending her to any coach looking for a competent and compassionate coaching supervisor.

CATH
I have worked with Sandra since 2008 when I delivered the ILM Coaching Qualifications in her organisation to develop a coaching culture. We developed a collaborative partnership working together on a variety of projects and programmes through CBC over 12 years. Sandra is an ethical and effective coach and supervisor. She is calm, focussed, qualified and experienced as a coach and supervisor with deep levels of psychological mindedness and embedded systemic thinking. She provides group supervision for my associates and has been working as the lead for a number of months on all our supervision training programmes. Sandra is a very reflective supervisor and prioritises time to develop her thinking and practice ,then consolidating this sharing and summarising reflections with our peer group.

JULIE
'I access regular one to one and peer supervision through Sandra and I believe my coaching and facilitation practice has significantly improved as a result. Focused dialogue with a skilled supervisor has enabled me to be reflective, increase my self awareness and to gain valuable insights I would otherwise not have achieved. I have improved my pyschoIogical mindedness which has equipped me to explore my practice in a deeper way. I feel safe with Sandra - I can be open and free without fear of judgement. That said Sandra will challenge, offer different perspectives (as well as guided learning) and help me reframe. I always end the session on a high – with lots to process and take forward. I would highly recommend Sandra – she is a skilled supervisor who is an excellent role model of relational working.'
