I believe in the possibility of supervision bringing about personal as well as professional transformation in the coach. I work collegially with coaches, mutually creating a safe and respectful space. I want to stimulate insight and learning from a coaching experience, which will also add value to the coach's wider practice. We explore what is to be acknowledged, celebrated and honoured. Also what happened when a session did not go as expected; or when the client surprisingly triggered the coach; or when stakeholders needed to be accounted for; or there is an ethical dilemma. Exploration, insight and learning enhance the professional presence and impact of a coach.
Sam Humphrey and I are co-authors of “Coaching Stories: Flowing and Falling of Being a Coach”. This book speaks to the coach, in times of good work or when poor, even shameful practice occurred. It shares authentically, normalising what it’s really like being a coach.
I am the creator of the online intelligent framework, me:my™coach. This offers a way for coaches to prepare mindfully for a supervision conversation, by self-regulating and then refining the supervision question, driving best value from the supervision investment.
I have a 30 year track record of 1:1 and team coaching time in 90 organisations across 22 sectors, worldwide.
