Professional Qualifications
I provide supervision/praxis consultation for executive coaches, coaching psychologists, consultants and supervisors. I became a chartered psychologist in 1996, subsequently joining the British Psychological Society register of supervisors and training in supervision with the Bath Consultancy Group and the Centre for Supervision Training and Development. I have been supervising since 1999.
I bring a holistic and enquiry-based sensibility to supervision and draw on a combination of orientations including gestalt, narrative, the psychology of wisdom and adult developmental processes, and embodied neuropsychological processes. Plus the knowledge gained from an earlier career in magazine publishing and later in OD and leadership development.
People I supervise report the experience as being developmental as well as thought provoking and directly relevant to their work. They are typically in independent or small business practice; some have worked as interims. They are usually experienced practitioners seeking some breadth and depth of enquiry, extension and challenge, however I supervise across a range of levels of experience.
People bring a wide range of practice challenges to supervision, from highly specific client issues to questions of contexts, applied ethics, developmental watersheds and revisiting the type of work they want to do. I take a holistic view in service of their commitment to exploring and extending the leading edge of their practice.
I have a penchant for a bit of mischief and poetry.
