Professional Qualifications
I believe that as a coach we are the main tool of the coaching and therefore, how we show up is fundamental to the work. This belief is underpinned by my PhD research which explored the role of self-awareness in the development of the coach. Therefore, developing our self-awareness and reflective practice is critical to developing as a coach and being successful. I hold in mind throughout my work the quote by Pena Chodron: "we work on ourselves in order to work with others; we work with others in order to work on ourselves". Therefore, I am grateful to all those who I have the privilege of working with.
Alongside this I am passionate about my own development and regularly engage in my own supervision and CPD.
My current supervisees are a mix of newly qualified and experienced coaches. I am coaching a mix of senior leaders and middle managers in a range of organisations including Snows Group, London Fire Brigade and Education Leaders. Alongside my coaching and supervision practice I am a visiting tutor at Henley Business School heading the Professional Certificate in Supervision, tutoring on the Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching and the MSc.
My career starting as an officer in the Royal Navy before moving into assessment and development, and then coaching.
Outside of work I relish spending time with my husband and supporting my son in pursuing his dreams.
