Based in West Yorkshire and working globally, Jan has been operating as a coach supervisor since 2003.
Jan believes in creating a learning partnership that adds value to the coach, the coach’s client and the client organisation. She helps the supervisee to take a meta view of their work, their relationships with others and with the organisation.
The focus is on ethical practice and providing added value for the client and their organisation by helping the supervisee to step back and reflect on their practice, to make sense of complex situations encountered in the working environment and to identify alternative strategies for moving forward. Jan loves nature and the outdoors and often uses this in her work with clients alongside focusing on what is emerging and being noticed in the moment.
In this way supervision operates at many levels by providing professional development, quality assurance, ethical and emotional support and helping to build resilience in the coach.
In addition she was active along with two colleagues in setting up the Association for Coaching Working Party on Coaching Supervision which subsequently led to a Joint Working Party being established between the leading professional bodies in coaching, The Association for Coaching, The European Mentoring and Coaching Council and the International Coach Federation.
|Supervision Rate||Range from £150 - £300 per hour for remote supervision depending on frequency and level of experience of the client.|

"I continue to be impressed with her insight, expert guidance and ability to ask just the right question, in the right way and at the right time to get to the nub of the issue. I have already recommended her as a supervisor to other coaches and will continue to do so. She is someone who is personable, expert and works with high integrity."
"Jan brings a multi-faceted impact to her work. Overlaying her approach with a quiet confidence, you feel right from the start that she is attuned to minute observations that bring new knowledge and a way forward that couldn’t possibly be achieved, otherwise. Without unnecessary ceremony, her work seems effortless, yet the dramatic results echo in many different ways for a long time after each session. She has offered me new glasses for sharp vision."

"Jan has contributed greatly to my understanding of the broader implications of my work as HR Director and Internal Coach, recognising broader boundary issues and challenges. She has held me to account and challenged my thinking around coaching and shared in her extensive knowledge and experience on the subject. Her approach is pragmatic as well as encouraging reflection, generating new insight, more enthusiasm and I wider perspective for my work."
