About Edna

Edna began coaching in 1999, trained with CoachU, and graduated in 2002. She had been a practising supervisor – working with senior managers and psychotherapists – since 1991 and she knew the value of supervised practice.

Before that, she enjoyed an interesting, diverse career, including time spent in Education, Careers Advisor, Stress Management Consultant, business woman, Psychotherapist and Clinical Supervisor.

In 2000, she recognised the need for supervision in coaching and established the very successful Supervision-on-Call, thus pioneering the practice of supervision for coaches in the UK. In 2002, more supervisors were needed and so Miriam Orriss and Fiona Adamson joined Supervision-on-Call. It is from this beginning that the Coaching Supervision Academy has grown.

Edna as a supervisor:

She supervises Executive and Personal Coaches, Psychotherapists, and Senior Managers, both individually and in groups. She also work as a Supervisor for Coaching Companies (e.g. Full Potential Group, Hanover Foundations, DBM) and for specific Coaching Groups and Coaching Projects.

Through CSA, she runs the 2-day Supervision Skills Training for peer supervision groups (for both internal and external coaches), Advanced Training Days in London, Brighton and Bristol. She is also a renowned speaker, and regularly gives presentations on Coaching Supervision. "Edna is the doyenne of supervision. She has created and developed a way of working that is ideal for bringing out learning and understanding. I use one or another of her tips or models almost daily in my own work, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly."
(Serena Standing, Hanover Foundations)
