Reflection on Practice (also known as coaching super-vision) is a facilitated, in-depth conversation to examine what is occurring in your coaching (individual or team) or facilitation practice. The purpose of reflective practice is to discuss your work in a confidential group setting and to learn from others in order to be at your best for your clients. Through super-vision, you deepen your learning and transform your client relationships.
Dr. Peter Hawkins, a well-respected professor and author, identifies three general categories of reflective practice:
Group Learning: Groups of 4-5 experienced coaches/facilitators learning and sharing together, with a trained Coaching Super-visor guiding the way. These sessions are 90 minutes long; 6 sessions per set. You will learn some of the basic models of coaching super-vision.
Ideal Participant Experienced coaches and facilitators who wish to examine their practice with other experienced coaches and facilitators and learn in community.
Once a month, for 90 minutes, we will convene via a virtual platform (ZOOM is a free and easy download software); times to be determined by the group and super-visor. Groups will begin latter half of September 2017.
