A Coach’s Guilty Secret

 

I am one of the lucky ones,

When you think what could be,

I’m healthy and I have it all, but,

Just between you and me …

 

I’m fed up, stressed and just done in,

I’ve had it up to here,

With smiles masked and digital hugs,

Uncertainty and fear.

 

So wrong of me to feel this way,

My problems are champagne,

When the whole world’s pain is so extreme,

Who am I to complain?

 

I should keep calm and carry on,

Be positive and strong,

But this work I love’s exhausting me,

Am I the only one?
