Essential Mediation Skills for Coaches - a 2 day workshop with Martha Clarke
This workshop is for coaches who would like an opportunity to learn about how to deal with conflict situations at work, at home or in their community. In a fun and experiential learning environment you will be able to build on your coaching skills and explore how they can be incorporated in mediation.
Through a combination of demonstrations, discussion, role-play and exercises you will get a real taste of how to mediate and a good idea if mediation is for you.
During this workshop you will learn:
- What mediation is; the principles, processes and structure of it
- The various conflict management styles
- About your own conflict resolution style
- How to work with the differing styles of others
- About individual mediation meetings
- How facilitative mediation works
- About joint mediation meetings
About the facilitator:
Martha Clarke - following her training with Coaching Development in 2006, Martha decided to focus on more interpersonal communications. She is now a qualified workplace, civil and commercial and community mediator, delivering accredited workplace mediation courses to public and corporate sector organisations.
Martha has a first degree in Psychology and a postgraduate MSc Diploma in Organisational Psychology. She adopts a holistic approach to her work, drawing on person-centred counselling, transactional analysis, neuro-linguistic programming and mindfulness.
Martha is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Professional Mediators Association.
